Weighing in to support the industry with apprenticeships

MP Futures is proud to announce the new Weighbridge Operator apprenticeship, a versatile apprenticeship which is applicable to all levels of business and which is delivered through high quality training. The apprenticeship has a funding cap of £6,000.

Driven by the need highlighted by employers, MP Futures has acted as a business partner to the sector to develop a new apprenticeship standard in England. Following the success of the Mobile and Static Plant apprenticeship, MP Futures are delighted that another apprenticeship is now available to employers.

Often a traditional entry route to starting employment in the sector, weighbridge operators gain valuable knowledge of the operation during the apprenticeship and play a key role in the efficiency of the logistics process.

This new, flexible apprenticeship will equip the apprentice with the skills and knowledge an employer needs, whether it’s working at a satellite weighbridge or as part of a 24/7 shift operation.

On top of this, the Weighbridge Operator apprenticeship also delivers a Vocational Qualification as part of the apprenticeship journey, assuring employers that the apprentice is able to demonstrate competence and has achieved the high standard set by industry.

“MP Futures has worked hard to listen to what employers expect from this apprenticeship. We have all worked hard to ensure its fit for purpose and meets the needs set out by employers” Anthony Elgey, General Manager MP Futures

This apprenticeship attracts £6,000 worth in funding, and provides great flexibility to employers. Non-levy employers may only need to pay 10% of the agreed training costs.
